The Valencia Formula 1 Grand Prix is one of the two new races on the F1 2008 calendar. Recently, the city presented its plans for a newly built street circuit along this Spanish city’s impressive harbour. The circuit was designed by the famous designer Hermann Tilke. The average race time for one lap around the track will be 1 minute and 37 seconds and the maximum speed that can be attained will be 320 km/hr. |

The circuit of Catalunya is very much appreciated by the drivers and is an excellent place for the teams to do their winter testing. There are lots of high speed corners that are easy to take. The long straight at the start allows the cars to reach very high speeds before they brake heavily for the difficult first corner. | |
